Thomas was the sixth child,fifth son of Thomas and Rhoda Riggs. He married Felton in Texas. Thomas and Hannah had nine children, xxx grandchildren, xxx great grandchildren and xxx great great grand child and xxx great great great grandchildren.

Born in Marion County, Alabama. We have no information about his education nor his occupation. We belive he was most likely in farming and/or ranching.
Barney Kemp was the second child, second son of Thomas and Hannah. He married Frances "Vennie" Hicklin in Dos Cabezas, Arizona. Barney and "Vennie" had one child, three grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and xxx great great grandchildren.
Barney married Annie Frazier in Fort Stockton, Texas and they had three sons and one daughter, xxx grandchildren, xxx great grandchildren and xxx great great grandchildren. Annie had three children from a previous marriage.
Barney Kemp: Was born in Milam County, Texas. He moved to Southern Arizona in about 1880 to work with uncles and cousins on their ranches.
A noted western author, Robert K. DeArment produced a very good article about Barney:
"Barney Riggs used to brag that he was the only one on record who was sent to prison for killing one man the turned loose for killing two. Although not entirelly accurate, Barney's claim had enough
thuth in it to add color to his wellOearned reputatuion as one of the most dangerous sixgun men in the South-sest in the walning days of the six-shooter era."
